River Trip, July 2009
(Yes, I am shotgunning a beer.
And, yes, that is a HUGE Gut!)
In the photos from 2009, I weighed 162 pounds. I was slow, and somewhat strong. This summer, I weighed in at the State Games at 134.6 pounds. I am stronger by at least 20% on every lift. My 400m sprints (with less rest in between) are faster. I completed the Tough Mudder this summer, which is over 10 miles long, and smoked it. My time qualified me for the Toughest Mudder. I am happier, sleep well, get up early and go to sleep early every night. I do two-a-days almost every day, and am never overtrained.
I eat strict primal, and record my food daily. I do 4-5 CrossFit workouts a week, O-lift 3-4 days a week, and do strength 4-6 days a week. I love my gym so much. The coaches and other members are amazing people, and I call many of them friends. Today, I love my life, and have real, achievable ambitious goals. I am a full-time student and have my own business. In the summer of 2009, I never thought any of what I have today is possible, and I am lucky. I owe it all to strong willpower and CrossFit. (I guess more specifically, Front Range CrossFit.) Thank heaven I moved to Colorado!!!!!!
