Friday 8/12/11

Today was the first day of O-Lift Camp at Front Range CrossFit with Paul Fleschler!!! Paul used to be a resident coach for Olympic Lifting at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs...basically badass!!! It was an amazing day. I learned a lot about my lifting technique, and OBVIOUSLY have a lot to work on. It was a tough day, way harder than doing 2 CrossFit workouts in one day!!

Fuel:
Meal 1- 1/2tsp coconut oil, 4 eggs, 100g strawberries, 5tbsp cream and 13g honey in coffee
Meal 2- 3.15oz beef, 2.55oz chix, 110g strawberries, 86g tomato
Meal 3- kids clif bar, protein shake
Meal 4- 190g zucchini, 4oz chix, 2tsp butter, 2tbsp pesto

Totals:
Calories- 1569
Protein- 134.2
Fat- 86.5
Carbs- 63.5

Morning Session:
10:00am

Snatch From Blocks
10 x 3 @ 70% (95#)

Clean
10 x 3 @ 70% (115#)

This doesn't look like a lot on paper, but trust me, it was really tough....actually just the snatches were tough, there was so much to work on, it hurt my brain!! The cleans were a break!

Afternoon Session:
4:00pm

Snatch
8 x 2 @ 115#

-I missed a few here. I was trying new techniques, and was a little fatigued from the morning.
Did my last set at 110 to make sure I ended the snatching with a good lift.

Snatch Pull
4 x 5 @ 115#

Backsquat
5 @ 175#
5 @ 185#
2 x 4 @ 195
2 x 3 @ 205

Whew!! These were tough, my max backsquat is currently 215#, so the fact that I did 2 sets of 3 at 205 is pretty awesome!!! And, I was glad to be doing something that required no skill, and I could just be a meathead!!! Hahaha.

Back at it tomorrow! Hope my bruised and painful thumbs make it through the weekend!!!
